As the name suggests Industrial Engineering and Management means management of Industrial Process. Or we can say it is a combination of engineering and management science. This engineering course teaches about various methods of management and efficient utilization of resources in the industrial process. The working of organizations requires up to date knowledge of scientific theories. Thus the program also aims at development of company. This study also teaches about managing the company and its resources in the time of prosperity and austere time.

The aspirant for B.E/B.Tech degree should have passed 12th standard from a recognized board in physics, chemistry and mathematics. The entrance exam for IITs and NITs is the JEE. Some institutes have their own entrance exams as well.

For Admission M.E/M.Tech in Industrial Engineering and Management the candidate should have B.E/B.Tech degree with minimum percentage of marks that varies from institute to institute and a valid GATE score.
